Big crowds at Zurich Airport: As various BLICK reader reporters report, there are long queues on the Sunday before check-in and the security check. “We were surprised that there was such a huge onslaught,” says Othmar Elmiger from Rotkreuz ZG. In the morning he brought his daughter to the airport – only every second counter at the check-in was occupied. “I actually think that’s idiotic,” he says.

Daniel Eigenmann from the operations control center at Zurich Airport confirms to VIEW: “There are currently significantly increased waiting times at the security check.”
–
“Two arrivals with many transfer passengers”
According to Eigenmann, the number of passengers on Sunday is not particularly high. But: “At the same time, two planes with many transfer passengers arrived,” he says. That took part of the security staff.

The reader’s pictures also show that the correct distances are not maintained everywhere. “We already have staff in the queues who check the distances,” says Eigenmann.

However, these people are not authorized to issue instructions and can at most draw the passengers’ attention to the lack of distance.
