A balcony billed as an “exquisite terrace” is up for sale in London’s upmarket Kensington for a staggering £50,000. About it writes Daily Mail.
Next Home Ltd Agency sells fenced terrace of 128 sq. feet in Stanton Gardens in South Kensington. There is no access to the balcony from the house, so it can only be reached by a private elevator.
Rather than being sold with the apartment, the terrace is registered as a separate property with its own title and a 110-year lease — and since it was listed for sale last month, the agent has received more than 200 inquiries.
The strange proposal has London’s house hunters wondering what to do with such a strange object.
Some potential owners even asked if they could pitch a tent in the tight open space.

He posted the link and wrote: “You can buy a balcony in central London. Only the balcony, not the rest of the apartment. Ideal for outdoor living.”
RightMove’s description of the balcony states: “The terrace is located on the third floor with lift access in a prime location in South Kensington. Ideal for expanding your property or business portfolio. Just 20 minutes walk from Harrods. Excellent transport links to Gloucester Road and South Kensington within minutes. Easy access to shops and cafes just a minute away.”
Agent Glenn Jacobs of Next Home Ltd clarified, confirming that only the terrace is being sold, with no access to the apartment.
The current owner of the East London property bought the terrace as an investment and is now selling it to free up capital.
According to Rightmove, the median property value in this prime area is £1,388,750. Most of the properties offered are expensive apartments.
