Loire. The Salon des vignerons bio starts on Friday and will welcome visitors in four cellars

A few days away from the organic winegrowers’ fair, of which she is the president, and despite the sanitary conditions, Véronique Grenier is “in full” to maintain it. “It’s not simple, some doubt, it’s true, but if the winegrower who is one of the four public reception sites and who is in the Rhône could not participate (in the event of possible confinement, Editor’s note ) we will distribute it over the other three sites. “

At the time of writing, it is counting on the participation of 32 winegrowers from Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes including several from the Loire and its three vineyards which will be spread over four sites and no longer on just one as in previous years (Condrieu ) in order to comply with health protocols. In total, 9 vineyards and 15 regional appellations: Saint-Pourçain, Bugey, Savoie, Ardèche, Drôme, Lyonnais will be present.

The Loire vineyards are represented with for the northern Rhône the domain of Amphores and the vineyard Verzier de Chavanay, the domain Deplaude de Tartaras and further north the domain of La Rochette (Roannaise coast) in Villemontais, the Verdier-Logel cellar (Côtes du Forez) in Marcilly-le-Châtel.

“Talk and exchange around wine”

“Our farms have been fitted out to accommodate other winegrowers in the best conditions. If the weather is good, it will be possible to set up the stands outside, ”emphasizes Véronique Grenier. “People are fed up today. For me, it is really important for them to be able to talk, exchange ideas about wine, our professions and the organization put in place must allow this. And then, we decided to open an additional half day in order to better distribute the flows. “

A website has been created for orders in “click and collect” mode with the possibility of withdrawing orders at the Domaine des Amphores, at the Verzier vineyards in Chavanay, at the Clos de la Bonnette in Condrieu (Rhône) and at the Domaine Barou in Charnas (Ardèche).

During its last edition, the salon des vignerons welcomed nearly two thousand visitors. It was in January 2013, in the aisles of the Millésime bio professional fair that three winegrowers – Isabelle Guiller, Véronique Grenier and Guillaume Clusel – together imagined an organic wine fair for the Rhône-Alpes region. An association of certified winegrowers was created to carry the event and the concept has gained momentum over the years to extend to Auvergne.
