Loges: Farewell after 24 years

Biller was with the company and responsible for the technical area for more than 24 years. Born in 1961, he studied biology in Erlangen and Göttingen. After completing his doctorate in Braunschweig, he started as a research assistant at Ysatfabrik (Uvalysat) in Bad Harzburg in 1994. Two years later he took over the management of the medical-scientific department of Loges.

At the beginning of 2011, Biller replaced company founder Werner Loges at the head of the company; two managing directors had previously resigned. In spring 2012, Carsten Timmering, a second managing director for Marketing and Sales, came on board. He is a pharmacist and had worked in marketing for Ratiopharm, Klosterfrau, Stada and finally DocMorris since the 1990s.

Since April 2014, Gregor Loges has again been a family member in the management. The son of the company founder had previously worked for Novartis as Brand Manager for almost four years and took over the company together with his five siblings. Her father studied the effects of Rauwolfia serpentina as part of his doctorate and launched his first preparation, Dysto-Loges, on the market in 1958.

After Biller leaves the company, the two remaining managing directors divide the areas between themselves: Loges will take over the areas of supply chain, production and logistics. Timmering will be responsible for medical science, approval and quality management.

With sales of 65 million euros, Loges is one of the leading OTC manufacturers in Germany. The portfolio includes around 40 different products, a dozen of them with sales of more than one million euros.
