Al-Marsad newspaper: revealed Family Medicine Consultant Dr. Awwad Al-Zaidi, that locusts contain 60% of protein and are considered sexual tonics.

He said during an intervention with Al-Ikhbariya TV that Europe has begun to allow locusts to be eaten and traded.

He pointed out that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, ate locusts, according to what was proven from hadiths, explaining that locusts are 60 percent protein, 17 percent fat, and 21 percent organic substances such as magnesium, calcium and phosphorus, so it is considered an aphrodisiac.
