I remember praying then, saying: “Lord, forgive me for being so unreasonable.” Still, during the years of my denial there was a lack of information, but at the AIDS center I talked with a doctor, a psychologist, and various consultants, and this helped change my point of view. The AIDS Center is a place where they will really help, the main thing is to come there. And so I lived in a vacuum, picked up ideas of denial when they sounded from every iron, and this was enough for me to believe. And then the mosaic came together, I believed the doctors, I saw that they wanted the best for me.
