The director of the Regional Hospital of Caacupé, Luis Gómez, pointed out that a vaccination post was installed against the Covid-19 in the Basilica of the Virgin of Caacupé.

“We started at 7:00 with the first dose vaccination of AstraZeneca for people over 30 years old and Pfizer for people between 18 and 29 years old,” said the doctor.
“There is an influx of people, it is not too much, but so far we already had 20 people who were attending,” he added.

He added that this Tuesday a new meeting is planned between the religious authorities and the Ministry of Health, to analyze the protocol that will be implemented for the novena and the central mass of the Virgin of Caacupé.
Gómez announced that the intention will be to place a perimeter fence in the square to organize the influx and entry of people during mass hours.
“The great challenge will be to control all the number of people who attend these festivities, that will be the challenge. Urge citizens to go to any of the vaccinations so that they can complete their schedule and can attend the central mass on December 8, “he commented.

He said that it is still being analyzed to maintain the vaccination on Sundays in the Basilica of the Virgin of Caacupé, while the vaccination of this day will be carried out until 11.00, in front of the Office of the Department of Communication.
This week it was announced that only people vaccinated against Covid-19 will be able to attend the face-to-face mass of the Virgin of Caacupé, which will be held on December 8, on the recommendation of the Ministry of Health.
