Liverpool FC with team manager Jürgen Klopp and club world champions FC Chelsea with coach Thomas Tuchel had a lot of trouble to win on the 26th matchday of the Premier League. After a 1-0 deficit at Anfield, the Reds still managed to win 3-1 (0-0) against the new bottom of the table, Norwich City. The Blues won 1-0 (0-0) at Crystal Palace. Nevertheless, both draw new hope in the title fight.
Because table leaders and champions Manchester City (63 points) lost on Saturday evening in the 2: 3 (1: 1) against Tottenham Hotspur for the second time this season against the Londoners. National player Ilkay Gündogan (33rd) scored to make it 1-1 in the meantime after Spurs had taken the lead through Dejan Kulusevski (4th).

Liverpool are six points behind the Citizens. Chelsea have 13 points less than ManCity, team of ex-Bayern coach Pep Guardiola.
Ex-Bremen Milot Rashica (48′) gave Norwich the lead in Liverpool, Sadio Mane (64′), Mo Salah (67′) and Luis Diaz (81′) then turned things around with their goals. For Salah it was the 150th goal in the dress of the former record champion. Moroccan Hakim Ziyech (90′) scored Chelsea’s late winner.
Chelsea started with internationals Kai Havertz, scorer of the 2-1 winning goal a week ago in the Club World Cup final against SE Palmeiras of Brazil in extra time, and Antonio Rüdiger in the starting line-up. On the other hand, ex-Leipzig and Stuttgarter Timo Werner was only on the bench.
