English Liverpool qualified for the eighth final of the European Football League, following its great 4-0 victory over its guest LASK Linz, Austria, on Thursday evening, in the fifth (penultimate) round of the fifth group stage of the continental competition, which also witnessed a scoreless draw with French club Toulouse with its guest. Liverpool raised its score to 12 points, ensuring that it finished its campaign in the group at the top, after surpassing its closest competitor, Toulouse, by 4 points, while Saint-Geloise remained in third place with 5 points, and LASK Linz bottomed the standings with 3 points.
The “Reds” quartet were scored by Luis Diaz (12), Cody Gakpo (15, 92), and Mohamed Salah (51, from a penalty kick).

In Group Seven, the Czech team Slavia Prague and the Italian Roma team passed the group stage.
Slavia Prague won 3-2 against its host Sherif Tiraspol of Moldova, while Roma tied 1-1 with its host Servet of Switzerland.
Slavia Prague topped the standings with 12 points, two points ahead of Roma, the second-placed team, while Servet ranked third with 5 points, and Sherif was at the bottom of the standings with one point.
In the eighth group, Germany’s Bayer Leverkusen maintained the full score, following its 2-0 victory over Sweden’s host Hacken, while Azerbaijan’s Karabakh tied 2-2 with its Norwegian host, Molde.
Leverkusen, which officially qualified for the final, strengthened its lead in the group, after raising its score to 15 points, after winning all five of its matches, while Karbag and Molde ranked second and third with 7 points each, and Hacken remained at the bottom of the standings with no points.
In the second group, Olympique Marseille of France and Brighton of England qualified for the knockout rounds.

Brighton won with a clean goal over its host AEK Athens in Greece, while Marseille beat its guest Ajax Amsterdam 4-3 in the Netherlands.
Marseille occupies first place with 11 points, one point ahead of its closest competitor, Brighton, while AEK Athens occupies third place with 4 points, and Ajax is at the bottom of the standings with two points.
