Karius’ nightmare with Liverpool is finally over.
Liverpool confirmed the release of seven players, including two big names in Divock Origi and goalkeeper Loris Karius.
Karius joined from Mainz for £4.7m in July 2016. The German goalkeeper has made 49 appearances for the Reds, but not since two brutal blunders in the Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid in May 2018.

The 28-year-old goalkeeper had spells on loan at Besiktas and Union Berlin but spent last season at Kirkby training camp and has not featured in a senior game since February 2021.
Meanwhile, Origi – who has been at Anfield since 2014 – is almost certain to join AC Milan on a free transfer.
