Live: Two goals in one minute!

Manchester United can overtake Chelsea and take over the top of the table today. Marc Skinner’s girls are in 2nd place just two points behind Chelsea who are not in action this weekend.

Today’s match in North London is on V Sport 2 + on Viaplay throughout Scandinavia.

It is closing in at the top of the WSL. On Saturday, Manchester City won 2-1 over Arsenal, and climbed up to 29 points level with United, but United’s city rivals have now played one game more than United.

Maria Thorisdottir and Vilde Bøe Risa are both in the United squad, but start the match on the bench.

Marc Skinner has selected this team for today’s match at Tottenham Stadium:

For Amy Turner, today’s match will be a reunion with the old club. Turner helped play United up from the Championship to the top flight and played for United until 2021.

United.no is in place in Tottenham and follows the match live.

Live:

80 min: Ella Toone is expelled! The United player reacts against Eveliina Summanen and is given marching orders by referee Fearn. It looks cheap from the replays…

Here we are talking about the ketchup effect!!!

76 min: GOAL: 1-2: Sky and sea. United storm straight into attack. The cross from the edge is knocked into the own goal by Molly Bartrip and United are in the lead again.

75 min: GOAL: 1-1: Tottenham equalise. Beth England tricks Le Tissier and places the ball past Mary Earps.

68 min: United change. Vilde Bøe Risa and Lucia Garcia come in for United. Parris and Ladd exited.

66 min: GOAL: 0-1: UNITED SCORE! Entries in the field that are not cleared. There will be a bit of clatter and chatter before the ball ends up with Leah Galton. She gets time to take a couple of touches and knock the ball into the nets. Now United leads the series!!!!

64 min: Another good chance for United when the ball ends up with Ella Toone. The shot is blocked.

62 min: Drew Spence receives the first yellow card of the day after holding Hauley Ladd in the shirt. United go straight into attack and get a corner.

59 min: Russo fires, but Korpela makes the save.

57 min: Tottenham get a great chance on a counterattack. The decisive pass is too imprecise and United can be clearer.

55 min: IN THE POST! Ella Toone comes alone from an acute angle. The shot has good direction, but hits the post. Now United are very close…

53 min: Alessia Russo receives the ball in the box and spins around some Tottenham defenders before firing wide. How long can the home team withstand the pressure from United?

52 min: Lifts the shot over the wall, but a few meters outside. It’s only United at the start of the 2nd half…

52 min: United get a free kick from 20 meters. Captain Zelem is getting ready…

50 min: Hayley Ladd scores with a mixture of shots and crosses. Goes past everything and everyone, but United are really pressing now.

49 min: Zelem tries to find Russo in the box, but the striker cannot reach. Soon after, Leah Galton storms in from the edge, but the finish hits the net wall.

48 min: Free kick to United. Zalem will post…

46 min: We are in the process of the last 45 minutes. Plus a little extra…

Pause: It’s 0-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in a rather entertaining match where United started the best, while the home team rose further in the match.

45 min: United combine well in attack, but cannot finish. That is the last thing that happens in this round.

45 min: The referee adds a minimum of one minute.

* United manager Marc Skinner is studying a TV monitor just in front of us, discussing eagerly with the coaching staff. Hardly happy with the last quarter of this game.

40 min: It’s a bit of a shuffle for United in attack. It will almost be a lot. This time it is Ona Batlle who almost breaks free in the field, but she is stopped at the last minute. It’s been a while since United created a big chance now…

39 min: The hosts get a transition opportunity, but it is disallowed for offside. It is correct.

36 min: Alessia Russo tries a loose shot from 30 meters. The idea was probably to lob over Korpela in the Tottenham goal, but the execution of that attempt is far too poor.

33 min: It becomes slightly dangerous in front of Mary Earps in the United cage when United struggle to clear the ball. Ella Toone finally gets the chance to launch a counterattack, but is stopped.

30 min: The half hour is passed. In the category of big chances it is 1-1, in the category of half-chances United clearly leads, but there are no scores so far.

29 min: Nikita Parris gets free on the right wing. The post is just a little too long for Leah Galton. It is undoubtedly on the wing that United have created most of the dangers.

* Marc Skinner is out on the sidelines to give some instructions to captain Katie Zelem. Hardly satisfied with the last few minutes Skinner. Tottenham have risen two notches.

23 min: Then it almost slams at the other end. Tottenham get a great chance. Ashleigh Neville finds Bethany England who shoots hard but over the target to Mary Earps. It swings!

22 min: Leah Galton heads the ball into the goal, but is waved offside. The replay shows that it is fine, but correct. Well seen by the assistant referee.

19 min: Hannah Blundell storms through on the left wing, but the cross is stopped at the last minute. United want a corner, but referee Amy Fearn judges a goal kick.

15 min: Almost! Biggest chance of the game so far. Leah Galton is played through, but under pressure the finish goes over the target. United should have taken the lead there.

11 min: Another half-chance for United and again it is Russo who gets to the post. Tottenham clear, but it is United who rule here now.

7 min: Two half chances, one for each team. First it is Alessia Russo who rushes forward on the right wing, but the post is without an address and is cleared. Tottenham can counter with Bethany England, but United will be cleared.

4 min: Corner to United. It is fruitless, but it is United who have taken command from the start.

2 min: United are holding on around the home team’s 16-metre area.

1 min: We’re underway!

* Before kick-off there is a minute’s silence in memory of the victims of the earthquake disaster in Turkey and Syria.

* There is a perfect setting for this match in London. It’s cold, but the rain that was forecast has so far stayed away. It is difficult to say how many people have made the trip to Tottenham’s main hall today, but we would estimate that there are around 10,000 spectators here. The most impressive thing is that the United fans have filled almost the entire away section!
