The number of new deaths from the coronavirus in Germany is higher for the second day in a row than the day before. At least 165 people died, bringing the registered death toll to 6996. This is reported by the Robert Koch-Institut, the German counterpart to RIVM. A day earlier, 139 people had died from the virus.
The lung virus has been diagnosed in 947 people. The total now stands at 164,807. 24 hours ago, about three hundred people became less infected with the virus.
In Germany, the measures and possible relaxations will be discussed on Wednesday. Chancellor is expected to let the federal states determine what can and cannot be opened.
