CLUSTER OF LOUDUN
After nine cases of Covid-19 were identified there, a second wave of screening was conducted yesterday on more than 220 patients and staff at the Loudun hospital site in Vienne.
Olivier Goyer, CFDT delegate of the establishment, communicates the results this evening to AFP: 14 new asymptomatic cases – 7 among staff, 7 among patients, especially from the geriatrics department – were identified during this second test campaign, bringing the total number of positive cases to 23.
After a first case detected last week in a patient arriving from the hospital in Saumur (Maine-et-Loire), two other patients and six staff members were positive during the first wave of screening carried out on approximately 80 people. The patients have since been transferred to the Covid-19 sector of the Poitiers University Hospital, the agents placed in solitary confinement at home.
