Live on Dir.bg: Early parliamentary elections minute by minute

The early parliamentary elections for the composition of the 46th National Assembly will be held today. More than 6 million and 700 thousand voters are on the preliminary lists.

The sections in the country open at 7 and will close at 20:00, with the possibility of the vote to last until 21, if there are more applicants in front of the polling stations.

There are over 12 thousand sections on the territory of the country, abroad their number this time is a record – 784 in 68 countries.

Voting for the early parliamentary elections abroad starts at 07.00 local time and ends at 20.00 local time.

Our compatriots in New Zealand started voting at 10 pm last night, there are two sections there – in Christchurch and in Auckland. Due to the time difference, the election day abroad will end at the latest in San Francisco, USA – at 6 o’clock Bulgarian time on Monday, July 12.

According to the adopted amendments to the Electoral Code, in the sections with more than 300 voters, voting will be by machine. There are 9,401 machines in the country, and 273 are the sections abroad in which voting will take place with the technical devices, as for the vote abroad with 421 machines provided.
