Pubs have to close earlier and the group size of many meetings is limited to 50 in an additional eight safety regions. The stricter regional corona measures already came into effect in six metropolitan areas last week, and eight more security regions will be added from 6 p.m. on Sunday evening.
The new regions are Groningen, Zaanstreek-Waterland, Gooi and Vechtstreek, Gelderland-South, Brabant-North, Brabant-Southeast, South-Holland South and Flevoland. The rules were already in force in Amsterdam-Amstelland, Rotterdam-Rijnmond, Haaglanden, Utrecht, Kennemerland and Hollands-Midden.
