The home team then did not take advantage of the first numerical advantage, Balinskis’ attempt did not take place, but in the 13th minute Irving equalized in the power play with a hard shot from the blue line. Immediately twice after, Verva threatened to weaken, and Irving and Strejček from the break did not overcome Pavlát.

However, the beginning of the second period belonged to the West Czechs, who managed to remelt their activity in two goals within 77 seconds. At first, Martin Lang ran Mertl’s shot and followed up with a hat-trick from the previous duel, then, with the signaled numerical advantage, he completed Bulíř’s individual Kodýtek action with a quick hit.

Litvínov, however, knocked out of the unexpected blow and reduced in the 30th minute. Although Pavlát stopped Chalup’s action, defender Graňák, under Irving’s pressure, unhappily directed the puck into his own goal. Immediately it could be equalized, but Jarůšek only hit the stick.

The home team managed to equalize in the 44th minute, when Kolář’s shot from the blue line was flowing through Sukeľ. The Slovak forward in the middle of the third period worked out another chance for Jarůšek, but Pavlát was attentive. The Pilsen goalkeeper still had more work to do, but the home team failed to decide in the normal playing time and the match had to be extended. He decided in time 61:48 Kudrna.
