Literature and Culture Ajip Rosidi dies

MAGELANG, KOMPAS.com – Literature and cultural writer Ajip Rosidi died at the age of 82.

“That’s right, I’m taking care of all this stuff,” said one of Ajip Rosidi’s children, Nundang Rundagi, quoted from Antara on Wednesday (07/29/2020) night.

The husband of Nani Wijaya underwent surgery at Tidar District Hospital in Magelang City, due to a fall at his son’s home in Pabelan, Mungkid District, Magelang Regency.

Nundang added, his father had surgery because of bleeding in the brain.

At this time, said Nundang, he was busy taking care of his father’s body.

Ajib Rosidi, a writer from Jatiwangi, Majalengka Regency, West Java, has a great interest in the development of Sundanese language and literature.

He earned an honorary doctorate, honoris causa, in the field of cultural sciences from Padjadjaran University nine years ago.
