JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – The government has extended the implementation of PPKM Level 4 in a number of districts/cities in Java-Bali from 3 August to 9 August 2021.
President Jokowi stated that the government decided to extend PPKM Level 4 because it saw the improvement in handling Covid-19.
“Taking into account the development of several case indicators this week, the government has decided to continue implementing PPKM Level 4 from August 3 to 9, 2021 in certain regencies/cities,” Jokowi said at an online press conference, Monday (2/8/2021).
Jokowi said PPKM Level 4 had reduced daily cases of Covid-19 to increase the number of patients recovering.

According to Jokowi, the implementation of PPKM level 4 in regencies/cities on the island of Java will run with adjustments to movement restrictions according to the conditions of each region.
In addition, the government also regulates that cities in the agglomeration area have the same level of PPKM status.
