Lisbon is a candidate to host the start of the 2024 Tour of Spain, according to the newspaper ‘AS’, this Monday, when the second rest day of this year’s edition takes place. According to the Spanish sports daily, there are talks between the race organizers and several cities that could host next year’s start, including the Portuguese capital. If this happens, it will be the second time that Lisbon will host the start of the Tour of Spain, after in 1997 it became the first city, outside the territory of the neighboring country, to host the first cycles.
