A man was killed at his residence on Saturday night, in the Andalucía neighborhood, near Piedra de Bolívar.
Witnesses told the authorities that everything started around 10 p.m., when in the victim’s house, identified as Raúl Alexander Mendoza Espejo, 55, several people were chatting while consuming intoxicating drinks, despite the Mayor’s recommendations for the COVID-19 pandemic.
Amid the laughter and the gathering among those present, where there was also a subject known to the residents of the place as ‘the Alfo’, perhaps no one suspected that things would get out of control and end in a terrible tragedy.

Suddenly, what was laughter and joy ended up becoming a sad reality and tragedy.
A strong discussion of which no one in the neighborhood gave details was held between Mendoza Espejo and ‘el Alfo’, in which the insults were increasingly aggressive with the passage of time.
From one moment to the next, witnesses said that ‘the Alfo’ seized a sharp weapon and, in the midst of an oversight by his rival, allegedly attacked Raúl on the left side of his back.
The lord fell to the ground slowly, while the alleged assailant fled in a gray Mazda brand car. Neighbors and friends of Raúl rushed him to the Caribbean University Hospital, where, despite being treated quickly, he died.
The investigators of the fact only indicated that they are investigating to find the whereabouts of the alleged murderer, although it was unofficially learned that, apparently, the one named as the alleged murderer was going to turn himself in.
