HC LINZ AG head coach Milan Vunjak had to play seven players and a whole team in today’s home game against BT Füchse Auto Pichler. Nevertheless, the Stahlstädter started energetically, although goals were in short supply in the first few minutes of the game. In the 10th minute of the game, HC LINZ AG took the lead 3-2 for the first time, but the immediate equalizer followed on the foot. In the next few minutes, in view of the dramatic Corona situation, the spectators only sparse saw an even game. This picture only changed in the 22nd minute of the game. The hosts, who had previously missed some good chances, took the lead, added three more goals and did not allow any more goals to be conceded until half-time whistle. With a 13: 9 lead it went into the cabins.
In the second half of the game, the home side went ahead, took the lead with 16:10 and 17:11 (35th minute of the game) and looked like the sure winner at that point. This picture changed when the Stahlstädter at the score of 20:15 (40th minute) had to accept an almost eight-minute peat low and the guests fought their way up to 20:19 (45th minute). Moritz Bachmann scored the 21:19 two minutes later, and HC LINZ AG then moved on to 24:21. The Styrians fought back, however, came close to a goal again (24: 23, 54th minute). The last minutes of the game were not for the faint of heart, both teams scored two more goals each, and in the end the home side prevailed with a thin 26:25.
