Linssen not happy with Feyenoord negotiation tactics: “I thought that was strange”

Bryan Linssen wanted to play for Feyenoord, but is disappointed with the way the Rotterdam club negotiates. He now hopes for a transfer abroad. A German club from the right row is concrete and there is also interest from China and Dubai.

Voetbal International already reported that Linssen cannot be admired in De Kuip in the coming seasons. The attacker of Vitesse confirmed that against Omroep Gelderland and discusses his rattled transfer in more detail with the Gelderlander.

Linssen indicates that he is disappointed with the first offer that Feyenoord made. Reportedly, the first offer was comparable to his current Vitesse salary. Linssen’s management then made a counter-offer, after which Feyenoord returned with a significantly improved offer.

“I don’t want to play games,” Linssen tells the Gelderlander. “I also did not ask for a million euros. But after our counter-offer, Feyenoord’s offer could go up considerably. I thought that was strange. I never got the top feeling at Feyenoord.”

Linssen finds it striking that Feyenoord’s first offer was so low, while he had ‘a great conversation’ with technical director Frank Arnesen. “That offer was out of proportion to our conversation. Feyenoord said that I really wanted to have me. But the proposal rather indicated that they only saw me as reinforcement for the breadth of the selection.”
