London, Feb 3 (EFE) .- Jesse Lingard, who had run out of space at Manchester United and had to leave, scored a double on his West Ham United debut in a 1-3 win over Aston Villa.
The English player contributed to a triumph in which Tomas Soucek opened the scoring with a good shot from inside the area, in what is his eighth goal of the season with the Hammers.
After just playing a few minutes this season with United, Lingard arrived on loan to West Ham in the winter market and claimed his first match by beating Argentine Emiliano Martínez twice.
The victory helps West Ham retain the fifth position, with 38 points, and Liverpool, who is fourth, is only two points behind.
