Not the quiet Gooi but the dynamic Amsterdam is the place where Linda de Mol (58) can be found more and more in recent months. This has not only to do with recordings of the new TV series with which she is busy, or because her children Julian (25) and Noa (22) live there. But also because for the queen of ratings, the capital is now the place where she can walk the streets more anonymously, blend in with the crowd and where people don’t gossip behind her back.

‘In Het Gooi Linda is anything but anonymous,’ an insider tells Story. ‘When she shops in the chatty Blaricum or Laren, she seems to have the feeling that people are staring at her or pitying her. That may also be the reason why she hasn’t been seen here in ages.’ There are even whispers that Linda might consider selling her huge Oud Crailo estate in Huizen, which she bought in 2002. ‘Linda isn’t much to be found here anymore. After the break with Jeroen (Rietbergen – ed.) she lives here alone, and now she thinks the house is too big and too empty.’ It wouldn’t surprise anyone if Linda moves to Amsterdam.
