The Ministry of Education (Minedu) reported that the list of 1,489 teachers from 25 regions of the country who will receive a bonus of S / 18,000 for having entered the Public Teaching Career in the upper third of the Appointment Contest held in the 2019.

The five regions that have the highest number of teachers who will receive the bonus are Tacna, Lambayeque, Arequipa, Ica and Tumbes. Of the teachers benefited in the regions of Amazonas, Ayacucho and Cajamarca, more than 70% belong to rural educational institutions.
The statement highlights that more than 50% of the beneficiaries are professionals under 37 years of age and among them there are more than 100 teachers under 25 years of age.
This incentive, created in 2015, seeks to recognize teachers who enter the upper third of the appointment contest. The amount is delivered in the months of December of the first three years of service within the Public Teaching Career.
