Like iPod? We tested JBL’s headphones with screen in the charging case

There are three options: noise canceling (total noise cancellation), talkthru (to quickly talk to someone without having to take off your headphones) and ambient aware (let some outside sound through, if you prefer that way or for situations where this brings more security , such as walking on busy streets).

Spatial audio makes everything more immersive. Spatial sound has three modes: movie, music and game. It boosts the audio, which seems to come from different directions and distances, making it more immersive. It’s not as impressive as Apple’s AirPods, but it adds value to the experience. It can be selected on the screen or in the app.

Customizable equalization. Not every headset allows you to change the audio characteristics. In the JBL model there are five predefined options: jazz, vocal, club, bass and studio.

For the type of music I listen to, rock in general, the last two are the most interesting, as they highlight the instruments. Furthermore, you can create your own profile, customizing the sound frequencies that suit you best.

Hard battery. It’s another positive point. Even though it has a relatively small box (and a screen that consumes energy), JBL promises 8 to 10 hours of music.

In my tests, with noise cancellation almost always on, the Tour Pro 2 did what it promised — I use it to get to and from work and charge it at most once a week. The device can be charged using an included USB-C cable or by induction, on the back of the case.
