Lidl Latvia is looking for more than 1000 employees :: Dienas Bizness

The retailer “Lidl Latvija” has announced more than 1000 vacancies throughout Latvia – in Riga, Liepaja, Valmiera, Jekabpils, Ventspils, Tukums, Rezekne, Jelgava and Ogre, Dana Hasana, the head of the Corporate Communications Department of “Lidl Latvija”, informed LETA.

She pointed out that previous experience in retail or logistics was not required for candidates. From the first day of work, the company will provide paid professional training for each new employee.

“We have built a Lidl logistics center in Riga and the construction of our store network is continuing rapidly throughout Latvia. Now it’s time to give these buildings a soul – start building energetic teams of store and logistics center employees, which will ensure a successful start of Lidl in the Latvian market.” said Jākobs Jozefsons, Chairman of the Board of Lidl Latvija. The company also noted that Lidl store managers and regional managers have spent almost two years in professional training in other countries where Lidl works. Also, each new employee of the Lidl store and logistics center will receive professional training and a full salary for the duration of this training.

LETA has already reported that the Lidl Latvija logistics center building in Riga was put into operation in the second half of July. The newly built logistics center at 131 Dzelzavas Street, Riga, with an area of ​​51,000 square meters, will ensure the operation of Lidl stores in Latvia and Estonia.

It will also house the company’s headquarters. More than 55 million euros have been invested in the construction of the Lidl Latvija logistics center. At the same time, ten Lidl store buildings were put into operation.

The company has not yet disclosed specific information about the opening hours of the stores.

Lidl is represented in 32 countries around the world. Currently, Lidl stores in the Baltic States are only in Lithuania.
