LG starts sales of rollable television in South Korea for the equivalent of 74,500 euros – Image and sound – News

LG has started sales of the rollable Signature Oled R television in its home country of South Korea. The retail price of the rollable 65 “television, of which LG already showed a prototype in 2018, is 100 million Korean won, equivalent to 74,500 euros.

LG sells the Signature Oled R., Model RX, in seven stores in South Korea. It is not known how many copies the manufacturer has produced. Buyers can have their name or other message engraved in the aluminum holder of the retractable screen and choose from four colors of the woolen cover of the speakers: black, gray, blue and brown.

LG first showed in 2018 a prototype of its rollable 65-inch television at CES in Las Vegas. During that 2019 show, the company then unveiled the version that would go on sale and bearing the name R9 wore. That introduction was subsequently not made for unknown reasons. It was there at the beginning of 2020 an RX model, with unknown improvements, and this version has now gone on sale in South Korea.

It is not known when the rollable OLED television from LG will be released in Europe. LG promised to release the model here earlier this year and then mentioned a price of 60,000 euros.
