LG StandbyME Go: A Portable 27″ TV Hidden in a Trunk

LG has created a portable 27″ TV hidden in a trunk, which will soon go on sale.

While most of us go camping and the wilderness for peace, a break from the usual hustle and bustle and often modern technology, there are also those who cannot do without them. Especially among the younger generations, it can be difficult to detach from the larger screens that are constantly bombarding us with a lot of content.

It is for such cases that LG created its portable TV StandbyME Go, which offers a 27-inch LED HD screen, 20-watt speakers and its own built-in battery. All this in one elegant portable case, which is conveniently lost among other luggage.

Thanks to the practical mechanism, the flip-up TV screen can be used traditionally horizontally or vertically. However, StandbyME Go offers the possibility of use even without the need to flip the screen – because it has a touch screen and offers LG webOS, thanks to which various applications and games can be downloaded to the TV. In addition to the touch screen, the TV can also be controlled with a remote control or voice commands.

The television is also equipped with Bluetooth and WiFi and offers AirPlay support as well as mirroring of mobile devices with Apple iOS and Android operating systems. There are no limits to use on the go, besides playing content, this TV could also be used for presentations on the go.

Compared to tablets, which are most often used today to play content on the go, LG StandbyME Go will offer a shorter operating time – only around 3 hours. It can be assumed that when camping in the car, the lifespan can be extended by connecting to the battery.

Another small flaw in the beauty of this device is the price. According to TheVerge, the new portable TV will go on sale soon in the US with a price tag of $999.99, which translates to about 22,130 CZK.
