Less income – cutting back on projects in Waldkirchen necessary

The municipality of Waldkirchen also had to accept cuts in the planned projects in the budget for 2021. “The share of earnings will decrease by 80,000 euros,” reports Mayor Rudolf Hofstetter.

New loans would be counterproductive

“That’s why some projects are suspended. The extension at the Rudolz fire station will not be made, the bus stop at the kindergarten is unsafe and the renovation of the community center will probably not come because there is no funding in the state because of the lack of funds. ”Taking out additional loans would be counterproductive, because you want the approximately 1, Reduce debt of 5 million euros that arose between 2005 and 2010. “At the moment we are paying off 100,000 euros in debt every year. We plan to be at zero by 2023, ”says the mayor.

For next year the extinguishing water cistern in Rudolz is planned with 40,000 euros, the municipal road construction with 96,000 euros and the road renovation with 25,000 euros. It was also decided that reserves from sewer construction or wiring could be used for various projects.

At the municipal council meeting on December 11th, it was also decided that an interactive school board for the Waldkirchen elementary school, together with the new middle school Dobersberg, should be purchased for around 8,000 euros. “So that the children can deal with it when they move to a secondary school,” explains Hofstetter.

New mulcher for 15,000 euros, driver wanted

The current mulcher is now getting on in years. Since a relatively large area has to be mulched, a fundamental decision was made to purchase a new mulcher for 15,000 euros. We are still looking for a driver – it is hoped that a farmer from the community will take over this task.

New Klärwart

Waldkirchen has a new clarifier in Michael Neuhauser. Since he is also Rudolz’s clarifier, the laboratory tests from Waldkirchen are now carried out in Rudolz, as Waldkirchen does not have its own laboratory. The former Klärwart and long-time mayor of Waldkirchen, Erhard Erwin, was bid farewell and received a certificate and a wooden watch as thanks and recognition for his commitment.
