TURIN – According to the media, Italian football defender Leonardo Bonucci has taken legal action against his former club Juventus Turin.
The 36-year-old European champion from 2021 was removed from the squad by the Italian team despite a valid contract before his departure to Union Berlin in August and banned from the training center.
According to Bonucci, Juventus damaged his professional prospects and image. He is suing his former employer “on principle”, he would donate any compensation to charity.
Bonucci has won nine league titles in twelve seasons with Juventus since 2010. In 2017, he left for 42 million euros to AC Milan, but returned immediately after the season. At the end of August, he transferred to Union Berlin.
