Nothing not neat because the Nokia 6.1 was released in February 2018, Android 9 only came in August 2018 … and the Nokia 6.1 got this update in October 2018, which is faster than most other manufacturers do a version upgrade of Android for their appliances.

Even Samsung, which is normally fairly fast for the flagship device at that time with the release of updates, released the Note 9 in August 2018 with Android 8.1 and it only got the update to Android 9 in December 2018 … and then you’re talking about a device that costs 3 to 4 times as much.

In other words; Nokia has just been very neat with the updates … they have so far adhered to the ‘policy’ regarding Android One.

My Nokia 8 Sirocco also still neatly receives the monthly security updates … from work I have a Motorola One Vision and it also receives regular updates, but must say that they occasionally skip a month.

(and it is purely a coincidence, but both devices really just report that an update is ready for Android 10 may security updates )
