Plot and Magic Behind the Scenes

Set in New York, the series revolves around Jessica (played by Megan Stalter), a workaholic in her mid-thirties recovering from a heartbreaking end to a long-term relationship. Eager to escape her tarnished reputation, she embarks on a journey to London, seeking a life akin to the Bronte sisters. However, her world is turned upside down when she meets Felix (portrayed by Will Sharpe), a man who presents a carousel of red flags. Despite the challenges that arise, their unique connection proves to be every bit unforgettable, raising the question: do Americans and Brits truly speak the same language?

The half-hour comedy series has received an order for 10 episodes from Netflix and showcases the creative genius of Lena Dunham, who co-created “Too Much” with her husband, Luis Felber. Not only is Dunham credited as the writer, but she also takes on the roles of executive producer and director. Felber joins her as an executive producer, contributing original music with his band, Attawalpa, for the show. The impressive executive producer lineup also includes Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Michael P. Cohen, Surian Fletcher-Jones, and Bruce Eric Kaplan.
