1. Lemon eucalyptus oils

Corymbia citriodora, commonly known as lemon eucalyptus, is a species of tall tree endemic to northeastern Australia.

Lemon eucalyptus oil has been used as a mosquito repellent since the 1940s.

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has even approved lemon eucalyptus oils as an effective mosquito repellent.

In addition, a study entitled “Comparative laboratory and field evaluation of repellent formulations containing deet and lemon eucalyptus oil against mosquitoes in Queensland, Australia” showed that a mixture of 32 percent lemon eucalyptus oils could provide more than 95 percent protection against mosquitoes for three hours.
