LEGO wants to create more sets with Nintendo motifs after Super Mario

Don’t get us wrong, that Super Mario Lego– Revealing earlier this week was great and everything, but where are the sets of The Legend of Zelda and Donkey Kong? You’d be great, wouldn’t you? Nintendo and LEGO may even do it. The chances are really good.

During a recent interview with the LEGO fansite The Brothers Brick has been Jonathan Bennink, Design Manager in the LEGO Creative Play Lab and Head of Digital Design at LEGO Super Marioasked if Nintendo’s other brands could be converted into LEGO sets.

Although he was unable to provide “details” yet, he said that LEGO team be open to the idea:

“She [Nintendo] have a lot of very exciting brands that we may or may not make. ”

LEGO has apparently not been with in the past four years Nintendo worked together just to release a wave. It hopes for a long-term partnership with the Japanese video game giant:

“We haven’t worked for four years just to bring out a wave of products. We hope to have a long and fruitful relationship with Nintendo and its brands and look forward to working with them in the long term. ”

So let’s go – the partnership between Nintendo and LEGO could go way beyond that Super MarioSets go out.
