How does the National Assembly work? 577 deputies elected locally but who make the law for everyone
Along with the Senate, the National Assembly is one of the two elected chambers that make up the parliament responsible for passing laws. These laws are either proposed by the government before being discussed and voted on by parliament, or proposed by parliamentarians themselves.
The Assembly has 577 deputies elected by direct universal suffrage by legislative constituency. Val-de-Marne, for example, has 11 constituencies. The deputies are therefore elected locally even if they then work on the elaboration of the law from a national point of view.

1° A more egalitarian education
2° Fight against the isolation of our elders
3° Support for education, in particular financial support for students
4° For active workers, retirement at age 60
5° For housing

Who is Salika Amara?
I am an associative activist, retired professor and author, president of the solidarity and social café El Kawa des seigneurs and of the sons and daughters of the republic association. Committed and passionate for more than 40 years to defend the causes that seem fair to me and the cause of visible minorities, but often invisible.
Age : 72 ans
Profession : Responsible for the program of the People’s Union and secretary general of the parliamentary group of insubordinate France
Present or past elective mandates : I have never exercised an elective mandate and am not a career politician I made the choice to propose my candidacy following the broken promise of the Popular Union to invest local actors in the so-called neighborhoods popular.
Substitute (s) : Andy Amount

Among the proposals of the program of your political movement, which are, very briefly, the five proposals which seem to you to have priority? Do you possibly have a personal nuance to bring to it, which could be the subject of amendments?

I will carry the abolition of Parcours Sup which leaves many students on the floor
I will mobilize for the opening of adapted, inclusive and friendly structures like solidarity cafes where all generations mingle and help each other.
I will mobilize for the financing of the permit for each student in order to facilitate his mobility, for a student mutual insurance accessible for their health, and the creation of a student financial allowance so that our young people can concentrate on their studies and no longer exhausted in eternal “odd jobs”
I will commit to raising the minimum wage to €1,500 net to allow everyone to live decently in our country.
I will carry the obligation to respect the Dalo law thus guaranteeing a roof for all

Which committee would you like to sit on?
Cultural Affairs and Education

How does the National Assembly work? Commissions
To work on all subjects, the National Assembly relies on thematic standing committees into which the deputies are divided. They thus meet in committee to work on the texts before defending them in the hemicycle. There are currently 8 standing committees: cultural affairs and education, economic affairs, foreign affairs, social affairs, national defense and armed forces, sustainable development and regional planning, finance and law. In each committee, the political groups have a number of seats proportional to their numerical representation. The remaining seats are allocated to non-registered elected representatives. A deputy is therefore not certain to sit in the commission of his choice.

If there was only one subject that you could wear during your mandate? Which would it be and how would you defend it?

I will raise the issue of youth, professional integration and income of students during their studies, because they are the future of our society, but very often their careers are put on hold because of financial difficulties.

How do you intend to report on your parliamentary action with the citizens of your constituency and take their reactions into account?
I want to collect their opinions through participatory democracy tools and the creation of a citizens’ assembly in order to support and report on the actions that I will take to the Assembly.
