Belmondo’s name became synonymous with the new wave of cinema in the 1960s. The star of the actor, born in 1933 in the Paris suburb of Neuilly-sur-Seine, rose under the direction of Jean-Luc Godard, who entrusted him with a leading role in his film “Until the Last Breath”.

Belmondo is only 27 years old, and invitations to many more films are not long in coming. Much of his career has been in competition with another star of French cinema – Alain Delon. The two made two films together – “Borsalino” (1970) and “Father Trembling” (1998).
