The jackpot for a draw cycle starts at 17 million euros. In the continued absence of a first-rank winner, the jackpot increases with each drawing depending on the bets made, up to a “first-rank ceiling” which is currently defined at 240 million euros.

If no one had won the mega jackpot of 240 million on Friday, this sum would have been put back into play. five times in a row.

And if there was still no winner of rank 1 at the end of the fifth drawing of 240 million, the jackpot would have been “shared between the winner(s) of the first lower rank for whom there is at least one winner in this fifth draw,” explains la Française des jeux.

But 240 million euros is not the ceiling in reality

Yes but here it is, particularity of the EuroMillions settlement : as soon as a ceiling is reached (and this was the case here with the ceiling of 240 million), a new ceiling is defined, increased by 10 million euros.
