The brothers of the Franciscan minority monastery will remember their 800-year history in the city of Wrzburg in 2021 with several larger events. In 1221 the first Franciscans came from Italy across the Alps and settled first in Wrzburg, where the brothers have been working continuously since then, as it is stated in the press letter.
In preparation for the big anniversary year “800 years of Franciscans in Wrzburg”, Brother Leopold Mader will present the vocation of Saint Francis of Assisi and his in a lecture series entitled “A path that begins in the heart. A heart that gets hand and foot” depict the current history of impact to this day.
The lecture series can now be continued in the Franziskanerkirche, Franziskanergasse 7, on June 2nd and 3rd at 7 p.m. Registration is not required, however, due to the distance regulations, only 70 spaces are available. Wearing a mouth-nose protection is mandatory.
