The car of the Lebanese Minister of Defense, Morris Salim, was exposed to gunfire in the Hazmieh area, after which the minister was transferred to a safe area.
Preliminary information said that Al-Hadatha represented an “assassination attempt”, and that Selim was fine and was not injured in the accident.
Salim said in an interview with “MTV” that he was fine, but the rear window of his car was shattered by bullets.
Sources indicated that the attempt took place in the Jisr al-Basha area, which is located 7 kilometers south of the capital, Beirut.
