Hitekno.com – Apple reported to be leaving Port Lightning replace it with USB C on iPhone. According to leaks, iPhone 15 Pro which will use USB C.

As previously reported, the European Union is forcing Apple to switch to USB C from the Lightning Port as the standard port in the region.

This regulation requires all smartphones, including iPhones, to use the USB C charging port, as reported GizchinaWednesday (16/6/2022).

Not only smartphones, other devices such as tablets, e-readers, earbuds, digital cameras, headphones and headsets, handheld consoles, and portable speakers are also required to switch to the USB C port.

As a result of this regulation, Apple will replace the Lightning port on the iPhone with a USB C port.

The first smartphone from Apple to debut with that technology was iPhone 15 Series.

According to the Twitter account @LeaksApplePro, the iPhone 15 Pro model will later use a USB C port.

While the regular iPhone 15 model still uses the Lightning port.

Then on the next iPhone 16, the Lightning port will be completely replaced to USB C.

Especially for the iPhone 16 Pro model, the smartphone can use USB C or no port at all.

Previously, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also said, Apple will soon leave the Lightning port in the second half of 2023 and switch to USB C.

Another Apple analyst, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, confirmed that Apple is testing a new USB C machine.

He also claims that the company will not switch to USB C until 2023.
