Slovak footballers did not make up for the embarrassing defeat with Kazakhstan in Trnava, they lost to the same opponent in Nur-Sultan.

Temporary coach Samuel Slovák’s charges missed the first half, while the opponent punished two gross mistakes in the defense. After the change of pages, the Slovaks only corrected the result.

Lose, respectively the disgraceful performance in the League of Nations and the result drop and performance decline in recent years are primarily the result of long – term unconceptual robots of the highest representatives of the Slovak Football Association. From the selection of a senior national team coach to the support of young talent education.

There will be room to evaluate this in the coming days and weeks, in this article we will look at the individual performances of players against Kazakhstan.

Marek Rodák – 3

In the first goal, he was able to start from the line behind the alpine center, especially with its qualities in the air. On the other hand, the ball fell seven meters from the goal and the three defending players were against two attackers. He could no longer respond to the ending. Then then to the goal header. In the meantime, he kept the team on foot. He hesitated several times during the pass.

Peter Pekarík – 4

In the first goal, he threw Gyömbér under the train, leaving two players to defend him. Otherwise, he defended traditionally reliably and just as traditionally lacked a superstructure in support of the offensive. Although the set-up and the game system did not suit him. After a challenging season in the Bundesliga, he played three full matches and in 35 years he performed better than several younger teammates. He still has no follower in his post.

Norbert Gyömbér – 2

In the first goal, he was left alone against two, but he did not know about the ending player from behind. This must not happen to a tracker with experience from Serie A, a college of defensive football. Although in Italy his teammates would not have sunk him in this way. However, there were more positional errors and uncertain evaluations, the performance did not correspond to experience.

Martin Valjent – 3

In the first goal, the air defended, in the second we would criticize him if the center was shorter because he did not go into a fight with his player. Otherwise, he seemed more confident and dominant than Gyömbér, he was also more proactive in the pass. In the absence of Škriniar, the tracker pair was composed of second rounds.

Juraj Chvatal – 2

It’s not for the basic line-up in the national team. At least not at the moment. He seemed scared in places. Both goal centers came from his side. In the first he gave his opponent a lot of space and only shaded him passively, in the second Haraslín did not help him. There was also a lack of support for the offensive, which he offered in the first match against Kazakhstan. No wonder he didn’t run out for the second half. Hancko was missing during the June run, and when he played Chvátal instead of De Marc, he missed twice.

Patrik Hrosovsky – 4

He operated against Azerbaijan in front of Lobotka, now he has moved deeper into the position of the orthodox “six”. In many passages, especially in the first half, it seemed that his duties remained with him and the role of Lobotka increased. During the pass, he did not have an offer, after losing the ball, the Slovaks did not attack and did not defend as a team. He had a lot and naturally made mistakes.

Juraj Kucka – 3

Traditionally, a performance full of contradictions, this time dominated by negatives. Significant was the error in the winning goal, when he did not defend the shooter. He could have ironed it with a poison in the 2nd half, but the goalkeeper caught it. In addition, he had only one blocked shot, he did not get to his favorite activity. Although he scored around the corner, he had helped himself with a foul before. He won only half the fights, he had no usual influence on the game.

Lukáš Haraslín – 2

He was the best player in the first match against Kazakhstan, he did not prevail in retaliation at all. The opponent read it and closed it on the left side, it was not even started by the arrival of the active De Marc. He did not help Chvátal before the winning goal, when he launched a return with his defender and let him center.

Matúš Bero – 3

He failed to follow up on the activities that led him to a quarter of an hour in Azerbaijan. The changed layout and new tasks did not suit him, although he scored. He was disbanded from the midfielder. At the same time, he supplemented his advantages when completing the offensive from the second wave.

Albert Rusnák – 4

Of the basic players, he had the least touch with the ball, but produced more key passes than they combined. It’s a pity that only one managed to extract something. With a good supplier from the depths of the field, he can be the player who gives the game the final idea, but he must have more influence on the game and bounce more often into the free space after the ball. Standards are the motto, again he played them accurately and imaginatively.

Ondrej Duda – 2

He was more active than in recent matches, but also more inaccurate. He lacks precision, ease and greater confidence, especially in the final solutions, whether he gives the final pass or finishes. At the beginning of the 2nd half he had a better passage, but it did not bring anything significant. In the end, he collected one unnecessary, the other unfortunate card and deprived the team of the possibility of a final onslaught.

Vernon DeMarco – 6

Great substitution, gave Slovakia hope for a better result. From the left side began to fly the center, mostly targeted and into a dangerous area. Only Rusnák had more key passes. In addition, he pushed to the end by his standards. The Argentine native also brought fighting spirit and taste, he showed his heart. He has the most credit for the positive elements from the second half. It is a pity that with the approaching conclusion, his activity was declining.

David Strelec, Ladislav Almási and Tomáš Suslov – no ratings

They played in less than 20 minutes.
