Le Havre stalls in Amiens, Bordeaux gets closer, Nîmes breathes

Back at the Unicorn stadium, Oualid El-Hajjam, Quentin Cornette and coach Luka Elsner had the ambition to win the Le Havre leader on the lawn of Amiens. The match got off to a bad start for Victor Lekhal and his family when the Algerian captain of the Normans misled his goalkeeper with a header (1-0, 10th). A misunderstanding that cost dearly because the Amiens held this advantage in score for the vast majority of the game. The Picards were unable to double the bet and were punished at the very end of the game on the equalizer from Jamal Thiaré (1-1, 88th). Le Havre remains leader while the Amiens are now sixth and miss a great opportunity to grab places.

Barbet carries the Girondins

On the lawn of Dijon, Yoann Barbet scored his first goal of the season in the league by heading in a free kick well taken by Michelin (0-1, 12th). Inspired, the Bordeaux captain even offered himself a double with a curled shot from a free kick (0-2, 57th). Dilane Bakwa ratified the Bordeaux victory on the hour mark by taking advantage of the defensive mistakes of the DFCO (0-3, 61st). A success acquired easily and which allows the Bordelais to consolidate their second place in the standings. The Girondins take a point in Le Havre and are now 7 points behind the leader. Dijon sinks and monopolizes sixteenth place, the first non-relegation team.

Traveling to Valenciennes, Metz was trapped by a solid defensive team. Non-existent on the other side, the VAFC opened the scoring against the run of play on a superb inspiration from Ugo Bonnet (1-0, 75th). The Mosellans returned to the game in added time with the equalizer from Lenny Thomas (1-1, 90 + 2nd). Metz went for a draw and remains fourth when Valenciennes stagnates in the middle of the table (12th).

Nîmes leaves the last place

Nîmes (20th) and Niort (19th) had no right to defeat this Saturday. At the Antonins stadium, the Nîmes red lantern took the lead on a penalty converted by Malik Tchokounté (1-0, 12th). The young Pablo Pagis (20) doubled the bet following a great collective action (2-0, 17th). Serene, the locals responded to the ninth goal this season in Ligue 2 from Bilal Boutobba (2-1, 30th) with a double from Pablo Pagis (3-1, 35th). In the second half, Samy Benchamma’s superb volley gave hope to the Chamois (3-2, 63rd) but the Crocos held on and breathed: they overtook ASSE and were 18th.

On the lawn of Pau, Ibrahima Baldé quickly opened the scoring with a header for Annecy (0-1, 6th). Undefeated since the start of the year in all competitions, the Haut-Savoyards doubled the lead thanks to Moïse Sahi Dion (0-2, 35th). Upon returning from the locker room, the Palois reduced the gap to the score thanks to an opportunistic Mons Bassouamina (1-2, 53rd). They even came back to score on an achievement signed Charles Boli who had not scored since 2020 (2-2, 60th). Even if they pushed to win, the flock of Didier Tholot failed to overthrow Annecy and are fifteenth. Annecy is thirteenth and continues its invincibility in 2023.

The PFC switches to the second part of the table

Against Paris FC, Gustavo Sangaré opened the scoring for QRM. In front of their audience, Olivier Echouafni’s men took off with the eighth goal of the season for Louis Mafouta with a beautiful curled shot at the entrance to the surface (2-0, 62nd). The PFC reduced the gap thanks to the work of Chahiri and the strike of Lefort countered by Julien Lopez (2-1, 83rd) but Issa Soumaré confirmed the victory of Quevilly on penalty (3-1, 87th). QRM is ninth, PFC eleventh.

Grenoble was surprised on its lawn by Bastia. In form since the start of the year, the Corsicans waited for the end of regulation time to open the scoring thanks to Kapit Djoco, recruited this winter from Versailles (0-1, 90th). With this success, Bastia jumped up the rankings and found itself fifth when Grenoble fell to seventh place.

In Rodez, Guingamp waited for the second act to unblock the situation thanks to Baptiste Guillaume (0-1, 58th). Second goal in two days for the Belgian striker who allows his team to climb to eleventh place. Rodez remains seventeenth and first relegated. At the Michel-d’Ornano stadium, Caen and Laval were neutralized (0-0).
