Le Havre Refuses to Install Giant Screen for Sold Out Ligue 2 Season Final Match

Fans were clamoring for it on social media. While all tickets are sold for Le Havre – Dijon, the last match of the Ligue 2 season for Ciel & Marine, Friday at the Océane Stadium, the town hall of Le Havre confirms to France Bleu Normandie that it will not install a giant screen in the city. She recalls that many bars broadcast the match.

Installing a giant screen for a home game does indeed seem like a big investment. Count several tens of thousands of euros for the rental of equipment and the safety device. For its part, the broadcaster of the match, the BeIN channel, explains to us that it dispatches satelliteq buses when a city decides to install a giant screen.

The last time the city set up a giant screen was in July 2018 for the World Cup final in Russia.
