Lazio captain Ciro Immobile suffered a car accident in Rome, his car collided with a tram on Sunday morning in Rome. The collision caused the tram to derail, and the football player’s car was a total loss. According to reports, Immobile suffered a broken rib and may have injured his spine, but is in satisfactory condition. His daughters also traveled with the center forward, and they were also taken to the hospital for examination. Eight of the tram passengers were slightly injured.
According to eyewitnesses, the impact was strong, the right front of the off-road vehicle caught the left front of the tram, causing the 18-tonne vehicle to derail. According to Immobile’s statement, the tram had already gone through the red light, and the tram driver, who has since been released from the hospital, remembers differently: “I was passing through a green light when the car arrived at high speed”. The case is being investigated by experts.
