Six people were reportedly made redundant at Corum’s La Chaux-de-Fonds last week. It would be an economic measure intended to preserve the fifty jobs remaining within the luxury watch brand, according to ArcInfo. There is no social plan.
The losses linked to the contraction of the Chinese market are mainly responsible for this situation. Since 2013, Corum has belonged to a Chinese group. Asia is its main outlet.
According to Unia, it is rather eight employees who have lost their jobs. The union denounces a decision it considers to the limit of legality.
