Video talks Habib Bahar bin Smith went viral on social media for dragging the name KSAD General Dudung Abdurachman. Habib Bahar’s lawyer, Ichwan Tuankotta gave an explanation about the video.
Ichwan said, the video lecture was known to be located in arrowroot, West Java. The lecture was also called Ichwan delivered by Habib Bahar before Dudung visited the eruption victims Semeru.
“That’s a video during his visit in Garut, it was about a week ago. The lecture was before Dudung came to Semeru,” said Ichwan to detik.com, Sunday (19/12/2021).
In the video, Habib Bahar offers prayers for the victims of the Mount Semeru eruption disaster. Habib Bahar feels that all Indonesian people are one and the same body.
“If a part of the body feels sick, then the whole body will feel pain, so the suffering of the victims of Semeru is our suffering too. Those who lose their property are the same as we lose our property, those who lose their family are the same as us who lost their family. us,” said Ichwan.
Later, in the lecture, Habib Bahar mentioned General Dudung because he was deemed not to have provided assistance during the eruption. Habib Bahar also felt that he did not necessarily only offend Dudung, but also other parties who were against the FPI.
“At the beginning of the Semeru disaster, FPI, who used to be Dudung, said to just disband, and immediately took down Habib Rizieq’s billboard when he was in charge of the Regional Military Commander. Instead, he who said disband FPI was not visible in Semeru. And it was FPI volunteers who seemed to be helping, evacuating and distribute aid to the community. And it’s not only dudung that Habib Bahar discusses, but there are many people who hate FPI, which was not seen in the Semeru disaster, “explained Ichwan.
He considered that the viral video of Habib Bahar’s lecture was because it was cut into pieces so that there was a misinterpretation.
“This is due to his lecture being cut into pieces, so the interpretation is not comprehensive. Yes. So if you look at the lecture, you have to be whole so that you understand what it means,” explained Ichwan.
