Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Monday that his country had succeeded in thwarting the West’s plans to divide and isolate it.
This came in statements made by the Russian minister to the governors of the Russian regions.
He stressed that Moscow has proven its willingness to cooperate with the majority of the world, pointing out that Western countries continue to follow a colonial approach. Lavrov stressed that the number of countries wishing to join the BRICS group and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization has increased significantly, and has now reached 20 countries.
