On August 6, the Latvian National Theater will start selling tickets for the September performances and tickets for the Daile Theater performances in October will be available for sale, theater representatives inform.
In the Great Hall on September 17 – a reunion with the audience in the concert “Real Salt Bread”, which is jointly prepared by the entire production ensemble.
Remember – in March, the rasol in the theater kitchen was already cut, the cake was baked, the musicians tried the evening repertoire, but – the doors to the whole theater for all kitchens were suddenly closed? You will find out what each actor has learned and understood during this time on September 17.
In the Actors ‘Hall on September 24 – the premiere of Artūrs Jankovskis’ debut play – the tragic comedy “Oligarch”. Directed by Tom Treinis.
The main activity of the young playwright Artūrs Jankovskis is not related to the theater at all, but his sense of humor mocked the entire theater jury of 10 people, who heard Artūrs’ offer in the Lugu Ideas Fishing Competition. The finished play is offered to the audience in the hope that they, too, will be fascinated by the absurd but well-understood desire of the young man Oskars Kaktins to save Latvia, simply by removing businessman Ainārs Krūmiņš.
In the title role, Normunds Laizāns, his opponent will be played by Igors Šelegovskis.
In LMT New Hall on September 11 – “Silent Life” – Ināra Slucka’s dedication to three actresses-colleagues.
The heroines of the show are women, for whom “Ieva Stories” is not written, where is “Private Life”. Their girlfriends do not know about their thoughts and feelings, because they do not tend to shake their hearts. Rather, they will entrust their pain to a pillow or a cup of coffee, but will leave the house smiling and omnipotent. And yet their lives are the same as all of us – with loneliness, fear, pain, disappointment, joy and love. Three women and one day in their lives.

In turn, outside the walls of the theater there will be two performances-walks – “Forest” and “City”. Premieres on September 26 and 27. Director Valters Sīlis will create both performances as a mutually unified diptych that complements each other.
In the show “Mežs”, spectators are invited to take part in an unprecedented event – from the main entrance of the Zoo in Mežaparks in a small group with the help of a live guide-actor and audio guide to go for an hour and a half walk through the forest, trying to find a way on this battlefield.
The route of the performance “City” will take the audience from the main entrance of the National Theater for an hour and a half in the direction from Riga to the outskirts of Old Riga.

From Thursday, August 6, tickets for Daile Theater performances in October will be available for sale. Among them, performances are already popular among the audience, as well as a new production – Duncan McMillan’s “Monster” directed by Dmitry Petrenko.
On October 9, Duncan McMillan’s production “Monster” will be premiered in the Small Hall, which will be directed by director Dmitry Petrenko, inviting scenographer Maria Ulmanis, costume designer Baiba Litina and music author “Prusax”.
Derrill does not attend classes and stands out with destructive behavior. He is annoying, asks inappropriate questions and uses inappropriate words. He admires Charles Menson, Jack the Ripper and Osama bin Laden, fascinated by violence and torture. He does not want to obey the rules that the new teacher, Tom, has to follow. The performances “Talented Mr. Ripley”, “Salem Witches”, “It is Not Easy with a Husband” and “Harold and Fashion” will be available to students, pensioners and people with disabilities with a 30% discount; the show “Card Game” with a 30% discount will be available to pensioners; the show “Unbearable long hugs” with a 30% discount will be available to students; the show “ART” with a 20% discount will be available to students, pensioners and people with disabilities; The show “In Love with Shakespeare” will be available to high school students, students, pensioners and people with disabilities with a 20% discount.
In its turn, Valmiera Theater has started to refund the canceled performances. From August 6, at the theater box office or at any “Biļešu paradīze” sales point, by handing over the tickets purchased at the box office, you will be able to receive a refund for the Valmiera Theater performances, which will not be postponed. Internet ticket holders will receive the money in their bank account.
