‘Latvian Cinema Song Festival’ will be performed on nine open-air stages

According to the organizers of “Producer Group 7”, “Delfi” informs, the festive concerts will start on July 23 at Baldone Vanagkalns stage, will continue in six other Latvian cities and will end on August 28 at Kuldīga stage.

Concert producer Aigars Dinsbergs believes that, despite the difficult situation, being together in songs is what is needed now or for every inhabitant of Latvia: “Songs have the power to overcome fear, heal the mind and warm the soul. Let’s be together again – in one language, in one in rhythm, in one song. With joy and zeal, with nostalgia and memories, with pride and love for the power of the people that carry each of us and all together in the future. “

The concerts will feature melodies from the popular movies “Limousine in the Color of Midsummer Night”, “Servants of Vella”, “My Friend is a Serious Man”, “Black Cancer Claws”, “A Gift for a Lonely Woman”, “They Are Crazy About Pauline”, “A Short Guide to Love” , “Fate Mill”, “Emils’ Works”, “Breathe Deeply”, “Klavs Mārtiņš Son”, “Theater”, “Soloist Needed”, “Fisherman’s Son”, “Maija un Paija”, “Sprīdītis”, “Game”, etc.

A selection of Latvian cinema songs will be sung Normunds Rutulis, Second Stafecka, Anmary, Dainis Skutelis and instrumental group – Juris Kristons, Aivars Gudrais, Modris Laizāns and Ivars Kalniņš

“Latvian Film Song Festival” will be performed on July 23 at Baldone Vanagkalns stage, on July 30 at Neikenkalns Nature Concert Hall in Dikļi, on August 6 at Rožupe stage in Līvāni, on August 7 at Sigulda castle ruins stage, on August 13 at Madona stage, on August 20 at Talsi castle mound.
